Yep, I know. I posted. How rare. I didn't even realize that its been since December last year. Ido long on and read everyone else's journals, just haven't had anything really interesting to say in awhile.

But here I am, posting this for Roland from his Journal. I'm glad to know everything is going as ok as can be expected for him. You are in my thoughts hun. Now on to what was posted in his journal.

Ok, here's the deal. My mom and I both have pretty bad colds. With Christmas being 8 days away, I need your prayers desperately. I NEED to have pnemonia by Christmas Eve. Pnemonia so bad that I have to be hospitalized. Mom is hoping for the same route, sans hospitalization. This is not a drill. I can't spend one more Christmas with certain family members and keep my sanity.

Thank you for the consideration.

Oh, and congrats to Roland!! Thats the power of prayer people. It can work. Please help me.

This year I've been busy!

In July I caught a purse-snatcher who stole satandj's purse (30 points). In March I ruled Asscrackistan as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). In February I set paintbrush12's puppy on fire (-66 points). Last Thursday I gave hose315 a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Last month I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points).

Overall, I've been nice (1040 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

Its been awhile

At the request of Shel, I decided to update. Sorry to dissapoint you though, not to much has been going on.
In recent news, Happy Halloween! Being the dork that I am, I'm running a one-night Vampire game/Halloween party. It looks like it may fall through, but I'm still keeping my hopes up. Sorry for the short notice, it was a last minute idea at the request of my friends who decided to go to Netherworld instead. If you are interested, IM me. The more the merrier! :)

It hasn't all gone down hill. I bought the original Nosferatu on DVD today. If you've never seen the movie, you HAVE to. Its great. We also bought Shadow of a Vampire, because it is another movie than any serious watcher has to own.

Have a great time with whatever you are doing tonight. Watch out for cops, and drink responisbly and any other safety garbage you see on public service announcements!

Just thought I'd make a post to the newest person that added me to their LJ. Hey dude. Don't know why you added me since I rarely post.

In other news, I just wanted to wish my dear friend in California good luck with his new girl. :) I know you will treat her as she deserves to be treated. You've always been such a great guy. I know she couldn't find better.

AND I GET TO BE DESI'S MATRON OF HONOR!! (Matron sounds to old for me.....oh well.) I picked up a great book for you Des on bridal bargains. I'll give it to you the next time I see you.

So idiot me decided to rear-end the car infront of me on my way to work yesterday. I also banged my head on the steering wheel. Man does that hurt. Still is hurting. Go me!
Work was out of the question for yesterday. But it did put me back on track with my job at Borders. They have been so cool to me this whole time. Wanda sent me home Monday night because I was very light headed, and Sean told me that all I needed to worry about was taking it easy. Well Sean, I did take it easy. Very easy. Never leaving the sofa easy. And now I think that I will be ready to work today in spite of the god-awful headache I have. I have beaten down the nausea and regained the ability to stand.

So after my not at all worth the money ambulance ride in which the EMS guy was hitting me up for discounts on his wife's maternity clothes, and sitting in the hospital hallway for forever only to find that I have a UTI and bronchitis, scott paid for the visit. and ended up overdrawing his account since rent was also finally taken out on that day. Why does it take 2 weeks for rent to be taken out of his account, and why couldn't it wait for one day when his paycheck was put into the bank. Oh well.
On a good note, I'm getting better and will be returning to work tomorrow.

So she has vaguely alluded to dad's dad being in the hospital, though if mom had decided not to tell me, this e-mail would have confused me greatly. But atleast I finally got some input in the matter.

Is it wrong of me to not want my dad there? I really don't want to have to deal with the emotional ups and downs that has been going on. One minute they are coming and staying for a long time, the next they aren't coming, then they are coming but can only stay a short time, then they aren't coming, then they are coming and staying an extended time to visit with some of her friends while here, then they can't come, and now they are trying. I don't want to care so much. I think they should just not come for all that its torturing me with happiness that my dad will be there, then near suicidal when he isn't. Why do I care so much about wether he is there or not? I don't understand. But then again, I do. I miss my dad. I want a dad again. I want him to be as involved with my life as he used to be. I want him to care. Or atleast pretend that he cares. If he could atleast just pretend..........

I found out the other day that my dad's father was in a car accident. He is in ICU and cannot breath on his own. Both of his lungs are collapsed, and his heart has been bruised. He has a 50% chance of living. He is 82 years old. His grandchildren were in the car with him. One is fine, and one may be paralized for the rest of his life. I've never met any of these people, and I never thought that they would be able to have such a profound influence on my life, since none of them have even cared to speak to me, despite my writing them entreating them for contact on 3 different occasions.

You see, my dad was kicked out of his house at the age of 14 by his father. My Grandfather wouldn't speak to my family, because his new wife said we weren't saved. She is southern baptist and I was baptized Catholic. I've enver heard a kind word about my grandfather come out of my dad's mouth. One of the times I wrote to my grandfather, I was in 9th grade and wrote the letter during my World History class after having to do a family tree project. I was the only kid in class that couldn't trace my dad's side of my family past my dad. And my mom's side of the family was only one generation longer. Dad told me not to get my hopes up, because if it didn't involve the church it wasn't important for my grandfather's time. I've never known either of my grandfathers. My mom's dad thought I was my Aunt's seven year old when I moved to El Paso for college. As anyone who knows me can attest, all I've ever wanted was five minutes alone with both grandfathers so I can fill them in on what they've missed and how they've hurt me by not wanting me in their life for reasons beyond my control.

Now that I've set up the scene, my mom got an e-mail from Jay, my dad's wife, saying that Dad my not be able to attend my wedding because he may have to go to Arkansas to see his dad. I'll let you that know me come to any conclusions as to my reaction to this news that I heard from my mom, who heard it from dad's wife. I've yet to recieve an e-mail from my dad, much less one on the subject of not being able to give me away at my wedding.

Kill mom but don't hurt TV, teen tells hitman

MIAMI, April 15 (Reuters) - A Florida teen charged with hiring an undercover policeman to shoot and kill his mother instructed the purported hitman not to damage the family television during the attack, police said on Thursday.

Police in the southwestern Florida city of Fort Myers arrested the boy, 17-year-old Carlos Chereza, on Tuesday on a charge of soliciting to commit first-degree murder.

Tipped by an informant that Chereza had offered to pay to have his mother killed, an undercover detective posed as someone willing to do the job, Fort Myers police said.

Chereza offered the detective $2,000 that he expected to inherit from his mother's bank account, and gave him the keys to the family apartment, a map of the apartment and a picture of his mother, the police report said. He asked that the shooting be made to look like a burglary, it said.

"Carlos stated that he didn't want anything to happen to the television," the detective wrote in the arrest report.

Police arrested the teen immediately after the meeting with the detective, and the mother was unharmed. Police spokeswoman Kara Winton said the motive was related to domestic problems within the family, but declined to elaborate.

I go in for my 3rd interview at MBNA today. I'm hoping it goes really well. I'd like to find out that I have a job today, especially after hearing all the crap that I got to find out last night.

So mom wanders into mine and Scott's room at 1 something this morning to talk. She's convinced that Ray is going to change. Because he promised he would. And why is he going to change? Because he needs my mom in his life. So I told mom that she is going to do whatever she wants, despite what anyone says. I'm the same way. So I wasn't even going to try to talk her out of it. I decided to take a Desi stance on the situation. (Or how she handles any situation I'm in that she doesn't like. hehe) I said that I wouldn't say anything else to her except that if he can lie to her for their whole marriage thus far, what is stopping him from lieing for the rest of it?
So mom left the room to go to bed, only to come back at 3:30 to talk some more. So I went to her room so Scott could still sleep, and we talked. She is convinced that Ray is going to change, because he promised to:
Go to AA
Pay mom's apartment until May (which is when she will move to Columbus)
and everything else, not to push it because he can only change so much at a time.
But he loves her. And he doesn't want the marriage to end. So she is giving him until May to prove it to her.

Now I propose this question. Think on it.
If a guy can lie to your face for 2 and a half months, then lie over the phone for four months, ignore you for three months, and 3 weeks after he recieves the divorce paper, finally call you and beg for forgiveness; what makes a person think that he can't lie for 2 more months just to screw you over?

He was really bitter for the last three weeks, calling mom all sorts of names and really being an all around asshat. Then he finally comes around? Yea, right.

Ok, I'm done now.
